Description
Jalal-ud-Din Muhammad Rumi popularly simply Rumi was a 13th century Persian Poet, jurist, Islamic scholar, theologian and Sufi mystic originally from Greater Khorasan. To quote Rumi himself “Only from the heart can you touch the sky”.
The book in hand entitled “Tales of Rumi” by Madeeha Maqbool, our star author is an engrossing read. She had adopted the stories beautifully for a young audience; briinging to lief the characters of Rumi, whether its the deaf man visiting an invalid, the teacher who’s deceived by his pupils, the villagers who saw an elephant for the first time or any one of the many. The illustrations trasport us into the bygone era and yet leave us with a moral lesson for the present time.
